Various members of the Des Moines Community Orchestra have organized their own instrumental groups, and may be available for performing music at public or private events.

​Kathy and Company

About - We are a group of experienced string players, in fact, some of us have played together for over 20 years! We will add a touch of elegance to your wedding, reception, or other special event with the sound of our beautiful stringed instruments. We will work with you to create the perfect ambiance for your event choosing from our wide repertoire of music which ranges from classical to contemporary. We are available to perform locally in Des Moines and the surrounding area as a string quartet, trio or duo. The music is what they will remember! $575 minimum for the Quartet; Contact Kathy for other group pricing.

​Metro Brass Quintet

About - The Metro Brass Quintet was started in the Spring of 2014 to bring high quality brass quintet music into the Des Moines metro area and beyond! If you are looking for a ensemble for a wedding, dinner, or anything else, we would be happy to fill that need. We offer competitive rates, high quality music, and have a wide variety of music ranging from classical to jazz and can do custom arrangements. Minimum fee - $500.

Paradox Wind Quintet

About - The Paradox Wind Quintet was formed in June of 2000. With a repertoire that spans the classic Wind Quintet literature, wedding and holiday favorites as well as "pops" selections, and combined playing experience of over 200 years, the Paradox Wind Quintet offers something for every occasion.​ Contact for rate estimate.
