Since 2011, Make Music has pioneered the “Sousapalooza” – an invitation for brass, wind and percussion players to come together and sightread music by The March King, John Philip Sousa.

Sousapalooza Iowa City will be June 21st at 7:00 pm on the East/Clinton Street side of the Old Capitol Building (21 N Clinton St, Iowa City, IA 52242). Download the music, bring your horn, a chair, a music stand and join the band! No fees, no rehearsals – just fun!

Seoul International Community Orchestra Festival 

Audition Announcement for the Seoul International Community Orchestra (SICO)

The Seoul International Community Orchestra Festival (SICOF) seeks those who will be the founding members of Seoul International Community Orchestra (SICO) as representatives of each country and community. 

Who can Apply: Non-Professional Musician who was born before 20 September 1997. 

How to Apply: Submit SICO Application Form 

Video Audition Requirement: 

An interview video no more than 3 minutes in length. 
A video performance no more than 5 minutes of classical music pieces which are free of choice by the applicant. 

Deadline: 17 May, 2017 (KST) 

Conductor: Antoine Marguier, Artistic Director of the United Nations Orchestra 

Results: 8 June 2017 ? Applicants will be notified individually of the results. 

SICO Activity Period: 20 ~ 25 Sep 2017 in Seoul, Korea 

SICO Member Benefits: Round-trip flights, accommodations and meals during the SICO activity period in Korea.

When: June 15-17, 2017 (Thurs - Sat) for Heartland event.

Where: Held in the charming Mississippi River town of Le Claire, Iowa, just outside the Quad Cities area.

Come to Scor! and experience a unique and exciting opportunity to learn & grow through lots of music making. Scor! is designed especially for adult learners, but we still call it "camp" because we have such a great time & intentionally create a relaxed, fun atmosphere. We provide top-notch instruction for string players in areas such as chamber music, orchestra, physical skills, rhythm, improvisation, and lots more!
