Fenton, mezzo?soprano, is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and
performs regularly there as soloist with the Chorale and the Oratorio Choir.
Performances on the Westminster Fine Arts Series include Missa Sancti Nicolai by
Joseph Haydn, St. Cecilia Mass by Charles Gounod, the Advent and Lenten portions
of Messiah, the oratorio Jephthe by Handel, and The Seasonings by PDQ Bach.
Ms. Fenton is a member of the Des Moines Vocal Arts Ensemble and was recently
heard as a soloist on The Prayers of Kierkegaard by Samual Barber. She also
serves the ensemble as board President. She is a member of the Howells Scholars,
the professional choir?in?residence at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul that
sings Choral Evensong as part of the Cathedral Arts Series. She was heard as
soloist in the Cathedral's performance of the Duruflé Requiem.
Ms. Fenton's additional activities at Westminster include serving on the
Worship, Music & Art Unit as well as playing handbells with the Westminster
Chimes. An avid handbell ringer, she participates in handbell festival
performances and workshop events across the country. She holds a BA in
accounting from Buena Vista College, and is a Finance Director for Aviva USA,
where she actively supports the company's Diversity & Inclusion Network and
Women's Leadership Connection through United Way
